So, California was great. Had tons of fun! We went to Monterey and had some yummy clam chowder and a cool new sweatshirt. And then my mother in law, brother in law, his girlfriend, Seth and I went to the Aquarium. Sooo much fun!!! I love the Aquarium!
I also helped my mother in law and bro in laws girlfriend babysit their cousin for over a week. That little girl is sooo cute! She was well behaved and grew quiet attached to us. It's amazing what homemade play doh will do...
While I was down in California, I drove down to L.A. area to help move a friends stuff back to Hollister. I was lots of hard work and lots and lots of driving. It was super fun playing with my mom when we made some homemade strawberry jam and planting some bell peppers and onions. I am super happy to have a little garden to care for! Sister Butler also made me a super cute apron. Love it!
A running joke in my family is that I am the only person who is 5'9" with a short person complex. Well, it hasn't gotten any better this trip. My baby sister is taller then me, and my baby brother is only about an inch shorter then me... I can't help it. I look up to everyone.
I also got my hair dyed to a Cinnamon color. Love it! I pretty just loved my whole trip and everything about it. I think that is all the main high lights from the trip. I have pictures, but I can't find the cord that plugs into the computer, so they may be showing up later.
But a sore funny story is; last night, after filling the dishwasher, I closed the door, I then started to pivot and walk to the other side of the dishwasher. Little did I know, the dishwasher door didn't want to stay shut. I proceeded to fall on and over the dishwasher. Seth and Kent heard me squeek and hit the floor... I was sitting there, dazed, trying to figure out what happened, what I hurt, and whether or not I wanted to cry or laugh. I did a little of both in the end. Unfortunately, I bruised my right forearm, hurt my lower back and my left shoulder blade (the one where I broke my color bone in 8th grade). I am now debating if I should go see a doctor. Until then, IB Profin is by best friend.
We also have been doggie sitting our friends Pit Bull Roxie for the past week. She is so freaking cute! She has fit right in with my dogs. They are all best friends now and have loved playing together. Sad to see her going home tonight. She has been a riot.
That's about it for now. Love ya lots!

Car Trouble
So, we got to Cali on Saturday, which is way before schaedual, but that's ok. The drive was long, but we made it safely, and in one piece. Which is kinda a miracle. In Feb, I took the truck in to take care of a water pump leak. No biggie. But after that, my truck started making some funny whirring noises. So I call the mechanic back, he said that it was ok, and just let it drive for a while, and it should go away.
Well, as time went on, it still wasn't going away, but it wasn't affecting anything that was noticeable, so we drove it to California. That's 1500 miles. So I figured anything that would "work itself out" it would do it by the time we got here. Well, it didn't. I called my handy dandy, super awesome brother and explained what's going on. And I took him for a quick drive to point out exactly what I was hear, what the other mechanic said, and what I suspected it was from when it was occurring. He then used his amazing ability of deduction, and... Came inside, saying, "Would you like me to show you, or tell you how close you were to dying." Oh, my goodness.
He figured out it had something to do with my tires. He lifted up the right passenger side and as he was doing so, my tire tips out at an angle. Further inspection showed that the ball bearings were broke, and the only thing keeping the tire on was the breaks. Going 80 ish mph, hitting a big enough bump (which I-40 has plenty of) we could have lost a tire, and our lives. Yeah, work itself out, my foot. And so, we buy the part, my super amazing brother fixes it, and I am no longer going to die driving home. Yay!
So, here are 2 weeks of fun ahead of us! Hurray!
