Halloween

Well, it's Mila's first Halloween. And although she is too young to do the trick or treating, I decided to dress her in the tutu my sister Jules sent her, and made her a ballerina. :D She was cute. And, if I say so myself, not a bad thrown together costume.

Today is also 6 years that Seth and I have been in a relationship. It has been a long road, but we are the better for it. I am extremely happy. :D Things are going good here. Love you!!

Oh the things that happen... :)

This past month has been nuts! Seth and I had planned a trip to California, then his leave got denied, but all my family had already made arrangements to go, so I still went with Mila. I am glad that I did too. It was soo good to see my family (and Seths, but they're family too)! The weekend I got down to California, Mila got her baby blessing from my grandfather. Yay! It was soo nice to see her in my baby blessing dress and having something soo meaningful happen with my family around me. The only thing that could've made it better was if Seth was there...

While I was there, it was like I never stopped. I bounced around both families, thankfully they live in the same town and only 10 min apart. Everybody loved her, and how could they not? She's precious.

I ended up going to Los Angeles with my mom and younger siblings to meet up with my older sister who had just gotten back from a cruz. And while we were down there, my sister took some awesome pics of Mila. Here are a couple
So she's 3 months old now. My baby girl is growing up soo fast!
And now I feel soo grown up. Today I got my own car insurance :) I've been paying for it, just it was under my moms name. Oh, and I paid off the truck in August! WOOO HOOO!!!!!!!

Two Months!!

I can't believe that Mila is two months old already. Time has flown by for me. Mila has been doing great! She sleeps thru the night for most nights, which is amazing. She is holding her head up like a champ, although sometime it looks like she is head banging. She likes to stand on you bounce. She's getting pretty good at it too.

So in celebration of her being 2 months, there is some pictures!

Oh! And Seth and I are doing great too!!!

One Month!

Well, there hasn't been a whole lot going on here, but I'll tell you what has been. Will that make you happy? Good. :D

So, last Friday a groups of friends and I decided to have a girls night out, without babies. We went and saw Kung Fu Panda 2 at the base theater ($3 is an amazing price) , and it was adorable!! Seriously, you should see it too. After the movie, we all decided we wanted to go bowling, but none of us had socks on, so there was a mass rushing home, to sneak in and sneak out with socks. We ended up bowling 2 games in 3 ish hours. We were more there for the socializing then the talking. It was soo fun being out and knowing Mila was just fine.

And then on Tues, Seth and I had a double date with friends to go see Harry Potter 7.5. That one was alright. But it was nice having a date night with Seth, and we were thankful to our friend that offered to babysit for free! We didn't stay out late, cuz we wanted our Mila!

Speaking of Mila, she has been doing great! She is growing soo fast! She still doesn't fuss a whole lot and sleeps amazingly well at night and day! She doesn't really care for pacifiers, and I am ok with that, She just turned 4 weeks old this week, and I can't believe that the time has gone by that fast!! Love this little girl soo much!!

Finally an Update!

Sorry it has taken me so long to update this thing, but I have a good reason! Hubs came home looking great, and I am soo happy to have him home again. He had to work for a week, had two weeks off, worked for a day, I went into pre-labor Thursday, then Monday I got induced. So, I know I could've blogged in the beginning, but I was distracted and enjoying time with hubs and friends.

And the big news! Miss Mila Rae was born on June 20 at 7:38 pm, weighing 7 pounds 7 oz and 18 3/4 inches long. I was in hard labor for 18 min, and I had an epidural, so I didn't feel a thing after my water broke. It was glorious! Haha.

Unfortunately, about an hour after she was born, Mila stopped breathing while I was holding her, which was the scariest thing I have ever experianced.  The nurses were amazing, got her breathing again and she was admitted into the NICU. It took a couple hours before I could see her, and I am thankful to Seth for keeping me grounded during that time. She had about 15 episodes that first day, but she always started breathing on her own. Which is good.

We ended up staying in the hospital for 8 days with Mila on antibiotics twice a day. She ended up having a blood infection that is extremely rare in newborns, that can effect their respitory system. I must say I was sooo glad to be able to go home. I am done with hospitals for a while. But I will say this, the nurses and Mila's Dr were amazing.

My father-in-law came down the week Mila was born, and I know he kept Seth calm so he could keep me calm. Nice little chain effect there. The week after, my mom came to stay with us for a week, and I loved having her here with us.

We have been home now for over a week, and Mila is doing great. She hasn't had any episode of not breatheing, and is a great eater and sleeper. She only wakes up about twice a night to eat. And so I am getting a good amount of sleep for the most part. Hopefully she keeps it up!

Hope the pics make up for the last of blogs for a little while!

Welcome Back!

Well, I have yet to see him yet, but the Hubs is stateside again :D He should be home tomorrow, and then I will blog more and get a new picture of him. That is pretty much all I got right now, but I am soo excited!!!!!

Oh, Mila is doing great, she is measuring at 5 lbs 12 oz, currently 35 weeks along. Drs gave me clearance to be able to deliver in about 2 weeks if it happens naturally.  Woo! Good news today!!

Woo

So, I miss my little sister already. Lol. But, I'll survive... We didn't go out and do a whole lot of stuff, but it was nice to have company. I will survive tho, cuz my home will be full again soon. Yay!

Let's see, last night I went to the SF Spouse Club Bingo fundraiser. And I must say I had fun. I met some new ladies, and won a free haircut and manicure or pedicure. Pretty sweet for only paying $6 to play. I haven't exactly been the biggest social butterfly since we moved here, because of mass amounts of drama and gossip. But, things are changing in the squadron, so I thought I would give it a chance. Plus side of going, I am now getting a baby shower sometime in the next week or so. I was told I was getting one, supposed to happen last month, but didn't. It wasn't that big a deal for me cuz I just have been picking things up slowly for the past few months. But it is nice that one night out, changed so much. :D

In other news, I get to go to the doctor everyday this week but Friday. Woo. Mon and Thurs for a non stress test, where I listen to Milas heartbeat for an hour, Tues for my birthing classes, and Wed for another ultrasound. But hey, it's all for Mila. There is nothing wrong with me or her, they are just covering their buttes. I also got strongly recommended by the ladies last night to try and get transfered to a different OB/GYN, and I must say, I am tempted, altho the hour drive each way is kind of a turn off for me. That's a whole lotta gas...

And since when do you have to be 18 to buy nail polish remover, white out, or compressed air for your computer? Found that out tonight, when I went to get the air to dust the computer, and got carded. Lol. Kids are going crazy people!

Nesting...

Well, I have apparently started the nesting part of my pregnancy. I have been on a purging of stuff and cleaning spree. I have been slowly working on things all week long. And I am getting tired, but excited about it all at the same time. I know I can hardly wait for little Miss Mila to make her debut in about 6-8 weeks :D

Also today, we no longer have a roommate or his stuff! WOO HOO!! And because our extra room is cleared out of extra stuff, I finally rented a steam cleaner and steam cleaned all our carpets. Let's just say, ew. I am glad that it is done now tho. Stains are all gone and I feel like Mila can play on the carpets now.

Also with this nesting buisness, I feel artsy/crafty.. I bought material to make 2 more blankets, one for Mila and one for Austin. After that I will be setting up/decorating the babies room, and then hopefully we are still being given a bedroom set for our spare room. After that I am attacking my garage and reorganizing, now that my garage is mine again, and not a storage unit. Let's just say, Lori is going to be my muscles and I will be the brain.
That's about all the excitement that I've got going on this week. Catch ya later!

Im an Aunt!

Well, I have become an aunt. My brother Aaron and his wife have had an adorable baby boy. His name is Austin. :D He was born 4-20-11 at 3:54 am. He is super cute! And he is nice and healthy.

So with all this exciting news, I have discovered that my mom wants to be known as Nonna to her grandbabies, and not Grandma. Which is ok with me. It'll just take some getting used to. Now the decisions. Do I want to be called Aunt or Auntie!? Or something completely out there? Decisions decisions. One thing I do know is that I am soo ready to have my baby join the world. I wanna hold her! Gah! 7 ish more weeks!!

Also, Seth starts his journey home in about a month! Wooo hooo!!! I am super excited to have him HOME soon! Woot woot!

Seeester!!!

Well, Lori is here! Yay!! I loves my little sister <3 . She is here for about a month, and its going to be fun. She got here on Friday and with the mass amounts of we were having, her plane showed up 30 min early. Luckly, I always plan on getting to the airport early, cuz of the drive. So I had just walked up to get a pass to get her at the gate, and the worker looked up the status of her plane, and she said "Well, they are already on the ground, and taxi-ing to the gate, by the time you get thru security and to her gate, she will be already off and waiting." So I just waited outside security. But it was only like a 2 min wait. Go wind!

After I aquired my sis and her luggage, we made our way to PF Changes for some yummy Chinese, which to me is Orange Peel Shrimp. SOO good! And then we hopped on over to Target for a browse, and I finally bought myself a waffle maker. And we just ate waffle for breakfast. I think it was one of the smarter buys Ive done in a while. Yumm-o.

And that just left the drive home from the city. Where there was about 3 wildfires going one. Hense why there is a burn ban, but apparently people don't listen... Lori slept the majority of the way home. So I just listened to my Glee music and drove.

We are excited to be spending more time together, and hopefully we will be able to go and do some fun things while she is here. What exactly, I am not sure.  So we shall see..

Mila is perfectly healthy and is nice and active. She loves kicking, and I enjoy feeling her move around. :D

Well, thats about all I got for today. Have a great day!

Countdowns..

So, in case anyone has been wondering how much longer Seth is gone for, we are at about 51 days :D

Today marks the last FULL month that he is working. When his relief shows, and then after crossover, he will be off, left to pack and do going home paperwork, or whatever it is they do! And then he starts his traveling home!! Wooo hooo!!!!

Another countdown is to the return of my amazing sister Lori!! She gets here on the 15th, and I am super excited!

OH! And I am officially enrolled in my birthing classes for May. Lori is gunna be a super trooper and go with me for the 2 classes she is here for.

And thats all I got for now! Happy April Fools!!

My Lesson in Blood Types :D

So, I was in the Drs office (yet again) today to go over results from all this testing I've had done.  And we were talking about my blood glucose test results (normal, don't worry, no diabetes here) and she asked if I had any other questions. And for the past month or so, I have been trying to figure out my blood type.

Well, today I remembered to ask. And I am O+ woo!!! Which means I can give to anyone, but I can only recieve from O+. Luckly, Seth is also O+, which means I can give and get blood from him! Woo! I knew I loved that man! And this also means that Mila is going to also be O+. We can all save eachother!!

Well, I got curious about who I would have gotten the O from, cuz my mom said she was A+, which means my dad would have to be B+ to make my blood type. At first I thought dad would have to be O+, but with my sister being AB+ that wouldn't work. I just picked up the recessive jean from both of them. Unless.... I really am adopted... :P Lols.

Here's the link of where I got all my Blood Types Knowledge..

But that is my super cool knowledge intake for today, woo!

My Alone Time...

Is slowly drawing to a close :P Thank goodness!! Seth sent me an e-mail that made me giggle.
Hilarious. its a total breakdown of this deployment for us. Down to the second. It's my donut of misery. But it makes me want a donut now...

Anyways. Life is pretty boring right now. Not going to lie. Have spent a lot of time in Dr offices, cuz they are paranoid. Tomorrow I am going up to the city to have a level 2 ultrasound done, cuz they are concerned about Mila being too small, cuz when I am in the dr offices, my blood pressure is high-ish, but at home its totally normal. I think it's funny they are concerned about her being small, because last month my ultrasound showed her being about 4 days bigger then they estimate her to be. But whatever. That's what insurance is for.
Exciting news is Lori gets to come back next month! Woo Hoo!! I can't wait! She is staying till 10 days before Seth gets home. I am super excited!!
That's all I got really. But you got another post this month! Aren't you so excited!?

Visitor!!

Well, as I'm sure you know, my little sister Lori came to visit me for a month! It was tons of fun! We didn't do a whole lot of sightseeing, because, well, there isn't much to see here. :P It seemed the gate guards favorite question for her was "How do you like Oklahoma?" Her response "It's very flat." Awesome.

We did drive through the Buffalo and Longhorn reserve, and then we ate at a place called Meers. Its a little resturant/slaughter house type of place that has been here for over 100 years. We had longhorn cheeseburgers. Which I thought was ironic considering where we were at. But they were delicious burgers...

We mainly focused on her school work and just chilled out together. We drove up to Lawton a few times to hang and shop. And that was the extent of everything really. We did lots of crafty things that I've already wrote about... And we set up a friends baby shower. And went on lots of walks. As I am reading this paragraph, I realize how many times I used the word "AND". eesh

Mom complained that I didn't have any pictures to share. So I took some, but they were with my camera phone, because my camera is deployed with Seth. So pardon the quality. But here we are in all our sisterly glory!

Sitting in the airport for one last pic!

Diving home from Lawton and PetSense. Holli likes to be held to sleep...

And it was cute, but fuzzy...
I dunno, are we sisters?

Craftiness...

So, as well as sewing a diaper bag for Mila, I have also now made her 2 blankets. I tied the first one, and sewed the second. Just a word of advice, don't use fuzzy, stretchy material on your first time making a blanket. And I will admit, I threatened to punch the piping, because it wouldn't co-operate with me. It made me giggle every time I said it, which was the whole point.

As well as making my blankets, I also tied one for a friends' baby shower, her baby boys theme is monkeys, if you couldn't guess.....

Well, I think I am all caught up on my craft projects for now, my sewing machine needs a break!

Creativity....

So it's been a while. My bad. So my news is, my little sister Lori is down for some visiting. And while she has been here, we have been super crafty sisters. We have assembled Mila's crib and tied the blanket you see..

And I have also made Mila a diaper bag using the Air Force ABU top, a pink butterfly liner, a lot of thread, and lots of creativity. I got the idea from seeing some purses that had used military camo. So I thought it would be cute making a diaper bag, and using some Curtis nametags and the U.S. Air Force nametape. This is the first sewing job I have done in about, oh, 3 years? It was fun tho, and it was made possible by my mom who bought me the sewing machine for Christmas, and by a friend who had some extra tops that he didn't need. Awesome.... So here are some pics! Woo!!

Miss Lori and I are having fun! I must say, it is nice to have someone else in the house with me!! The only "downside" is we can't go play until Loo has done her schoolwork. :P But it all works out in the end... Oh, Lori is making herself a super cute purse too, but its not done, so there are no pictures yet :P

Other news is Seth gets to come home a week sooner then we thought! Hurray!!! It makes me super happy!! I miss him like crazy! Eventho we do talk daily.. It's not the same....

Well, thats what I got so far!!

My Birthday :D

I have to say, that this was one of my best birthdays ever. The only thing that would have made it better is if Seth had been there, but my friends did good making it a blast.

Seth told me my birthday present this year was finding out if we were having a boy or a girl, so I made an appointment at StorkVision up in the city. 2 of my friends made the trek with me, and it was fun. Here is my little girl, Mila Rae Curtis.

We also bought Mila her first outfits, they are too cute. Ones a little pajamas that have pokadots and says I <3 Daddy. And the other is a little dress/shirt that she should be able to grow with.

Seth also managed to call me twice and tell me happy birthday, once in his time zone and once in mine :D. He wasnt able to call during my appointment, so EVERYONE had to wait till after he knew, much to their dismay. But he was happy I did it that way, and so am I. I am excited! We will be greeting our daughter in 4 months, and I can hardly wait!

Da Babyz!

So I had a dentist appointment yesterday and then a doctors appointment today. And so I am going to talk about those, cuz they are pretty much all I've done. :P

Well, that's a lie. I went bowling with some friends last week and had a blast. And then tonight I am going to "Happy Hour" for the yummy free appitizers. Lol. Anything for free food right??

But anyways, I would like to give a shout out to my mom for my genetics! Woo! I have great teeth according to the dentist. And apparently he knows I have good genetics because my gums don't itch while I am pregnant... Right. And I didn't have much plaque... RIIIIIGHT. Anyways, Thanks Mom! I will be forever greatful...

And then today, I got to hear my babies heartbeat again. Yay! It was a strong, healthy 155-160 beats per min. And if your going with wives tales, that means it's a girl... But I find out that stuff on the 27th. Anywho, I am annoyed with the military. Seth got permission to call me while he was at work, during my appointment time so he can hear the heartbeat too. But then, they have building alarms go off, so he couldn't call. LAME!! I realize that it really isn't the militaries fault, but I am going to blame them anyways.

Oh, and I also had blood drawn today, and Mom, you would be so proud. If your are in my family, or have worked in my pediactrics office, you would know that I have a horrible problem. Of passing out with needles. But I am happy to say, that I haven't passed out in a while. And I have survived another appointment! Yay!
Oh I also bought another dog, and this time for Seth. Her name is Holli and she is a pure Blue Nose Pitbull. She has blue fur and blue eyes. And she is adorable.

Anyways, that's about all I got for you today. Bye!

The Countdown...

To my 24th birthday, and all that I will be doing, has begun. Seth and I have agreed that our birthday presents to eachother this year is going to be finding out what we are having. I am soo super excited!! And so is he. I love how excited he is about being a dad. It makes me smile soo much. Every phonecall has questions about the baby, what is it doing, can I feel it moving yet. :D I love that man.
My appointment is with StorkVision on the 27th at 1 pm. By 2 pm, if I have been able to contact Seth first, there will probably be posts and phonecalls and mass amounts of tears going on. But, if it takes longer for him to know, you will have to wait more. Doesn't waiting just wanna kill ya??? 23 days and 19 hours.
