My Family...

So, since moving to the great (but at the same time, kinda small) OK, I have gotten a new puppy. So I decided that I would show everyone my family as it stands here in OK. There is the dogs, Suri and Todd.

I have a super duper cute picture of Todd in a kiddie swing, but it wouldn't upload. It's awesome, cuz he likes to swing and go down the slide, just like a little kid. I'll try to get some new pictures up as time goes on. Todd is about 3 months old, loves pouncing on leaves and listens to his mommy.

Suri is my baby girl. She likes to chase after balls, do tricks, go on car rides, cuddle and sleep. lol. She has gotten this habit of when Hubby gets up for work, Suri climbs onto the bed and cuddles with me. She really things she is part of the family.

This is the Hubby. He is a goof. He likes muffins, nice warm muffins. He likes to go on walks, play with the dogs, and play games. Board games, video games, card games. Now, if Suri likes to cuddle, he puts her to shame. He loves to be all snuggled up with me, or the dogs. He just got promoted at work, so that is exciting for both of us. He is getting put on his official schedual next week. Which will be nice, because I will get to see him more often. Yay!

And there is me. I am kinda like this picture. I am a little upside life and unique. Hehe. I love to laugh, listen to and sing along with music (sometimes much to my Hubby's chagrine). I like to play with my dogs. My goal is to become a Vet Tech, and I am working towards that. I like to cook, and sew, and creat. Hmm... my Hubby says I am caring, beautiful and smart and funny, and... a spork? Hmm... well, thats all for now. I'm sure I will be posting again soon...

Endless Driving

So.. I believe I mentioned before about 'B's car breaking down, but this weekend she had to go get her son from Arkansas this weekend. So being the kind and generous soul I am (and discussing it with Hubby) I volunteered to drive her there and back if she paid for gas. So we leave Monday afternoon, prepared for a 7-8 hour drive.

So we are going along, the road is pitch black, we have about an hour to go, and boom, there are cop lights flashing, and thinking he needs to get past, I pull over....and so does he. I was thinking, I have my cruise control on at the speed limit (65mph), I'm not weaving around, there is no one else on the road, and so I have no idea what was wrong. I get everything out, and Mr. Texas State Trooper goes, "Do you know why I pulled you over?" "I have no idea sir" "Well, did you know that your license plate light is out?" what?!?! I responded with a smile, "No sir, I didn't, I can't see the back license of my car while I am driving" LOL!! So he asked me where I was from , "California, (duh?) but I just moved to Oklahoma." He gave me the strangest look, like why the heck am I in Texas headed toward Arkansas, when Oklahoma is behind me. So, anyways that's over, we continue on our way.

So that was the only excitement we had on our trip. We got home about 4 am, slept about an hour, then continued on with my day. In total I was awake for 36 hours. Needless to say, I went to bed early that night.

To My Family

So the fam has been asking me if I have set up a blog yet, and so today, I am..

I am recently married to the man of my heart on Oct 11. We had been dating for 4 years and he recently joined the airforce this year. He is getting promoted on the 14th, which is always good news, cuz it means more money for us. Yay!

So since we have been here in Oklahoma, I have noticed that there are absolutely NO MOUNTAINS for us! Now I grew up in a valley, no mountains are a serious shock to my visual senses. But we have cotten. Lots and lots of cotton.

Lucky for me, Hubby had a friend from basic get married this month as well, and I have become fast friends with the wife, 'B'. We have spent the majority of our days together. Needless to say, we have helped eachother out a lot, setting up our houses, adjusting to the military way of life. Lucky for us we all get along too, because within a few days of being here, 'B's car blew a head gasket, and so they are carless for a while, and then last week I found out that my truck needs a part replaced, which is a few hundred bucks.

Since I have been here I have adopted a new puppy for Suri to play with. His name is Todd and he is a husky cross. Super cute. And my friend 'B' thought he was so cute that she went and rescued his sister Cherry. So we have puppy get togethers to top things off. Its nice to vent to someone about potty training difficulties. But they are coming along nicely. I am lucky to say that I have hardwood floors to clean up the messes.

Well there is the last few weeks in a nutshell. Hope to have you tune in again next time.
